Small compact phone but not TOO small to handle. A very good basic phone - no fancy features such as text messaging, etc. Very good reception making and receiving calls (with Verizon). It is a dual mode digital / analog phone so if it can't find a digital tower it will look for an analog tower which was a plus for me when traveling away from the larger cities. The menu was user friendly. The flip-up door covers the keypad which prevents buttons from being accidently pushed while in my belt holster. The only disadvantage is that the power and send buttons are not covered by the flip-up cover. Which means they could be accidently pushed. This was a problem when my daughter would carry the phone in her purse. The send button would press against something else in her purse and dial the last phone number called.
