Got this phone as the "FREE" of a buy one get one free promo. I got what I paid for. The first problem I had with the thing, aside from irritating navigation is the fact that the banner cant be changed. I saw that another reviewer wrote they changed thiers twice...trust me, Ive tried. Im beginning to think after seeing so many similar complaints that this isnt just me anymore. Sure, you can change what the banner says and then save it...only to go back to the main screen and see VERIZION WIRELESS still there. Try again to change the banner, and the screen shows a slightly ghosted image of what you did the last time. -shrugs- Anyway...reception sucks...calls drop off...the volume is erratic..and finally, the little "holster" style belt clip that comes with the phone works great. So great that when the phone rings,it stays firmly on my belt and refuses to release the thing with one hand(after some time, you figure the only way to do it is with the opposite hand, using your thumb to pry the phone via the antenna away from the stubborn thing until it finally snaps apart.)after all that, simply stop what your doing and review the incoming calls to see who you just missed. boring ring tones(ha-ppy birthday sounds like ha-birthday)and so on. Stay away from this one folks.

Changing Banner

My phone was stolen after only 6 days, but during those six days, I really liked it. The font is large. I tutor and I appreciated it being able to set it up on the table like a travel alarm so my students and I could see the time at all times. When in use, you can adjust the amount of time the face stays lit in case you are a slow dialer! The banner can be changed: I changed mine twice. It is under settings, options, other--I am relying on memory since the phone is gone. I would buy another one in a second if the price was right.

While I love the compactness of this flip phone, I have many complaints, such as; lost calls, inability to change the banner, inablility to download games and rings, and after just 3 months the screen went out on me and had to be replaced. If that wasn't enough, while I was in the store getting the phone replaced, someone came in with the SAME PROBLEM.

Traveling all the time and always having trouble with getting a good signal with other cell phone. With this phone I get a great signal. It is small and compact. Easy to use. Its battery life is great. I would recommend it to a friend or family member.

This is a great phone. It's incredibly easy to use, and you can understand how to use virtually every option just by experimentation. There's no need to flip thru the 100+ page user's manual. Keep up the good work, LG...

feminine lady's phone or a smart man's executive look!

The very small, compact vx3100 has a lot to offer. I am a female, so I like the snazzy look of a compact. My brother in law says it looks like a phone an executive would carry. In any case male or female you can not go wrong with this trendy phone. Not to mention the easy to use capabilities of this phone. It is equiped with various ring tones, customized ring capabilities, a few games and much more!!! Rush to your Verizon store and take a look at this phone. You will not be disappointed!!!

I like the phone. I replaced a fancy phone with voice dialing, whisper mode, and a couple of games. I don't need all those bells and whistles.
This phone is clear screen, easy to manuver buttons, and bright display.
My only complaint is that the banner doesn't change.
