Phone freezes up!

I have had my V600 for almost a year and have been disappointed. The screen freezes up and the outside display becomes garbled on occasion. I am told that it has something to do with the software. I have to power it down, then back up in order to rectify the problem. I have read several reviews from people that indicate the same problem. They have had Motorola replace the phone only to continue to have the same problems with the new phone. I will be replacing my phone with another model.

I had a similar phone from motorola before, and it had the same faults. Battery charger connection completely unreliable and intermittent, and its receiver is generally insensitive, resulting in call failures. A good phone otherwise. but not a patch on its rivals. Buy a Nokia, next time - I will

The bluetooth feature works well with my Prius. Otherwise this phone is a real disappointment. The buttons on the outside of the phone do mysterious things while the phone is in my pocket, for example, turn the ringer to silent. The battery meter goes from full (6/6) to empty in a few hours. The phone then starts making annoying noises every few minutes to warn you. There is no way to tell it that you know the battery has suddenly drained but you are not near a charger and still might get a call. There is poor reception at my home which should have full signal according to T-mobile. The manual is far from user-friendly. It looks like the designers were much more interested in bells and whistles like games, camera and downloadable ring tones than the primary purpose of the phone, which is to make and receive calls.

I have had this V600 Motorola jewel for three weeks and indeed, it is an excellent phone. All amenities were beyond my expectations. The phone size, weight and layout are excellent. Blue Tooth connectivity was excellent. The phone has a neat recorder that turned out to be a real nice addition. One can record up to a one minute message and play back a will. A really nice feature of this is that one can record phone conversations and record directions or phone numbers during the conversation for later playback. Also, for husbands calling home for bread and milk pickups, You'll record all the extra you'll need to ensure your not in trouble when you get home. Pictures can be taken and sent to another phone or a computer email address. The pictures are very good. An option can be purchased to transfer to your computer either blue tooth or cable. There is a camera zoom feature which is digital, not optical, but can really save the day. i Purchased an excellent Blue Tooth headphone (Logitech) and am able to have calls directed to the headset without touching the phone. A real safety measure when driving. The headset includes noise canceling technology so you can hear clearly when in a noisy area. The headset has a seven (7) hour talk time and one month standby and charges it's lithium battery in a neat cradle which has a cover to keep any dust off. It affords maximum comfort when worn for long periods. The speaker phone is excellent and is certainly loud enough for any situation. The antenna is external but is fixed and does not need to be raised. The key layout is well spaced and large enough for most to use easily. The front and back cover is mostly metal and provides a feeling of sturdiness and assurance. Mine is set to answer when opened. Just love this phone!! Frank from PA.

The V600 is the best phone out there because it has mp3 and poly ringtones and an integrated camera. Anyway the picture here is that of a motorola V66 which is very light weight but similar features that of a V60 it also rocks as a travel phone but the v600 is your every day phone.

Perfection

The phone pictured is a V66 NOT a V600... The review by Mr Anonymous September 24 2003, is therefore not valid. The V600 is a fantastic phone in every way, the sound quality is superb and ringtones are either poly or MP3's. I'm too lazy to write a full review but will just say buy one, you will love it.

Features are OK, but antenna keeps breaking

This phone actually belongs to my son, and was what he wanted when we purchased it a year ago. Features seem fine (although newer and better are always coming out), but the antenna is rather large for the phone and has broken three times when taking it out of his pocket. Someone he knows had the same problem and found a smaller antenna to replace the original antenna. Cingular replaced the phone twice, but it looks like we'll have to pay for a new phone this time. Buyer beware!
