This is my second 1261, first replaced under warranty for powering off all the time. This one has gotten mediocre reception, decent battery life (at first--it's now down to 3 days on standby). Frequently goes silent--everything works, dials and rings--but no sound sending or receiving. Burns up minutes, pisses off people I call.
DON'T GET THIS PHONE!

This phone is great, I have had it now for 4 months now, and have not had any trouble. I didn't like the way it looked, but it was cute, and now I found a face plate for it, and I also have clear buttons, overall I would recommend this to a first time cell phone user.

this phone has constant problems, my text messages go to an unintended party all the time. Not to mention the phone cuts off completely in the middle of a call then powers on automatically. These phones were manufactured for minute manager accounts and they have been giving problems since the day they were put on the market. They should recall this model and offer the owners another phone that is similar in price.

The phone is okay if you just want something simple and easy to use. It gets really good reception in most areas..... Its a good phone, i drop it a lot and it still works so its pretty durable!

I have had my phone for 5 months or so and, eventhough I don't have many problems, I have had a few. I find it very useful, but my life isn't too chaotic- the phone is just so my parents can contact me whenever they need me.
In the 3rd month, my phone stopped working-I mean, it wouldn't even turn on- I took it to the manufacturer and recieved a temporary phone- I had that phone for a month before I recieved "my" original phone back. Well, the manufacturer said that they couldn't find anything wrong with it, so they just gave me a new phone @ no charge. I haven't had any problems since this happened...but my brother's phone as well as my step-dad's phone are doing the same. So I advise others to look into the model a little more BEFORE you sign a contract- it'll cost you around $200 per phone to get out of it.

yeah it's small and easy to use, but i went through 2. they kept on turning on/off all the time and finally stayed off. its no better than a paper weight!!!

I have never had a better phone!!! The reception in my area has always been a little hard to come by but this one takes it on and I have yet to have a problem. The battery is excellent and I only have to charge it every third day, and I'm on it all the time. Overall a very good buy.
