Everything I Wanted!

Thanks to the previous reviewers, whos reviews lead me to select the Nokia over Verizons other offerings. Personnally, I was not interested in camera phones, games, silly ring tones, or other fluff features. I wanted a phone with great reception, good battery life, and a logical system of menus and features. The Nokia has it all. The phone works in my downstairs home office, whereas my StarTac did not (I consider the StarTac and excellent phone). The menus are very intuitive. Here's a tip - don't let Verizon (or another carrier) rob you on accessories. For example, you can get a car charger on-line for six bucks (Verizon charges $30).

Good as a cell phone, but not a big email help

The phone as just a phone is fine: very user-friendly & has good reception. Unfortunately, I have Earthlink as my email server & Verizon as cell phone provider, & there are major incompatibilty issues, as in, they don't work together. Trying to bypass that situation, I had my emails forwarded to my cell as to text messages, via vtext.com, but that was a terrible solution because it only displays 160 characters (including sender & subject!). That's practically useless. So I will use this just as a phone, and again, it works well as that.

This is my third phone, and probably the best. The mobile web service is decent, but works about 75% of the time. Signal reception is amazing with this phone. It is very convenient when it comes to accessing menus, phone numbers, and other commands. The color display is good, and the compact size and light weight helps. The phone also looks awesome! As far as drawbacks, however, this phone has them. I barely bumped into a table with the phone, and the screen's plastic cover cracked. I also found that when the dog picked it up, the faceplate was easily decimated. It was, however, no big problem, because the 3589i is easy to customize. A new $20 faceplate and it was as good as new! Get it Now is a great program, but for some reason, at least on my Nokia, it is very limited. My father's Motorola has dozens of apps on his Get it Now, and mine has only a few. For the money, this phone is a great buy!

This is my fifth phone and ive had motorola and audiovox which makes a decent phone but this is the best one so far. Other than you have to pay to download games and ring tones this is a awesome phone its lightweight and the girls dig it at my college. Hopefully someone soon will have free ring tones and games for it.

The phone is nice, however it's hard to see the screen because the phone dims after a couple of minutes AND if you lock the phone you have to find your way around in the dark. The menus are confusing and lead to weird areas, I hate to say it but I prefer Motorola.

Nokia 3589 is off-the hook

I agree with the previous person reviews, will there be a listing of this phone for the free ringtone on the website 2thumpswap.com? And if so could you give us consumers a response ASAP! The only dislike is the factory installed company ringtones. Otherwise it is a nice phone. I like the brightness of the light of the phone and the weight of the phone itself. I like the battery life that it offers. Just put a RUSH on the FREE Ringtones on the websites that is compatible for this Nokia wireless phone. It is a good and exceptional phone...

This is the 3rd phone I've owned and it is by far the best. I love the color screen and the easy access to the phonebook and messaging. It is also easy to download ring tones and wallpaper from the internet. The only thing is you have to pay for them. www.2thumbswap.com offers free ring tones and wallpaper, but my phone the 3589i isn't listed on there to attain them. Will it ever be? Free ring tones rock, there are so many of them, but I can't get them for my phone and that is my only complaint.
