this is my third nokia cell phone and the best one yet. with the addition of the plug in external antenna, reception is rarely a problem. the best battery life of the phones i've owned. it has plenty of cool features. i would highly recommend the 6360.

The 6360 is the 3rd Nokia phone I've had. I've had other brands too but Nokia seems to be the best so far. This phone was purchased only because it was the only phone that went with the "hands-free" that was installed in my car. I don't have a lot of complaints, just that it freezes up sometimes for no reason at all and shuts off sometimes too, for no apparent reason. When turned back on, it seems to work fine. Reception and features are satisfactory.

The reception is great on this phone but after talking with several people they tell me they can hear a little static in the back ground. I have gone through 3 Nokia 6360 phones and the people still hear static. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their Nokia 6360.

I have had my Nokia 6360 for around a year. I had been extremlly happy with it, with the exception of it not ringing loud enough. But, now it is freezing on me and also when I start to scroll it just keeps scrolling. The only way to stop it is to turn it off. I am very disappointed. I was thinking about a 6370 and from what I read, it was worse. The 6385 sounds like it might be a better phone, but I hate to throw money down the drain. My phone has had excellent handling. Never dropped or even jared in any way.

I finally decided on this phone because it was either the 6360 or the 2260 since I didn't want to change from a grandfathered plan on a TDMA network for one that is on a CDMA network for a greater selection of phones but less reception in certain areas with the same carrier. Since the 6360 fits in the same hands-free kit as the 7160 that it replaced and has at least the same features, I decided to give it a try. Within the 1st 24 hours, I noticed a great improvement in clarity, signal strength, battery life, and sound quality. I managed to hold a 2 hour 40 minute conversation on 75% battery life without getting dropped, hearing static, or the battery dying on me like my 7160 was doing before I traded it in, and I hardly used my cell when I moved into my house about 6 months ago because of poor signal strength.
Also, while the cellular service provider couldn't transfer my addresses from the 7160 to the 6360 due to equipment issues, the infrared transmission was flawless. This happened before I downloaded Nokia PC Suite 4, which would have made a complete backup and restore (or a complete copy) much easier, but at least I know that works. I like being able to edit the address book on the fly rather than having to manually click on update, then making changes, and then uploading again. I am also able to setup Nokia PC Suite to automatically update with Outlook when I plug the cable into the phone rather than having to manually click on update.
Although I didn't buy the phone for the games, the games are pretty cool. I noticed that the Calendar and To-Do list are now combined under Organizer, and now there is a voice recorder and a stopwatch. The volume control is conveniently on the side rather than having to use the up/down buttons or the scroll bar (used on the 7160) which is also used for everything else.
Only time will tell how long it will last in an industrial evironment, but since it seems to work flawlessly since being dropped the other day in the parking lot, I will assume that it will be like all the other Nokia's that I've had--should last at least 2+ years.

This phone broke withthin 2months of buying it. I would advise never buying this phone. MY LCD screen broke within 4months and had to spend 50 dollars replacing it. And I take care of my phone. I have never dropped it and it still malfunctions.

This was my first cell phone. I love the features and style of it. it would be better if the faceplates could snap off easily instead of having to unscrew the back of it. It gets really good service even though i live where every other phone has none. I love this phone!

I am in the Cell phone business and, I have used many many phones. This phone is consistantly great. It could be smaller it could have more features, but, for a TDMA phone nothing comes close. Where I live (NY) GSM on AT&T is horrible so TDMA is the way to go. Hands down the best phone to date on the AT&T GSM system.....

I'm envious of all who have dropped your phones without serious problems occuring. Warrantee is an excellent idea....or, just don't drop the phone lol. Regardless, the reason I'm happy with this phone is in my cement basement where all other phones have zip for reception, I can have a normal telephone conversation. The same goes for driving through the mountains...still had reception long after other phones quit (Digital service automatically changes over to Analog). I paid for "reception" not "flashing lights". Fortunately, more and more cell customization shops are getting parts to make the 6360 flashy, but for now gimmicks for this phone are still hard to track down (at least where I live). Thank you to 2thumbswap for fun ringtones!
