Great Phone, but Unbelievably Misleading

I bought this phone because I was told BY AT&T in-store that I could download ringtones and graphics. The book says I can as well. Do you think in my hours of searching the web I've found a single site that offers tones, graphics or logos for the 6560? NO! NOT EVEN NOKIA! And AT&T only has this to say: "Sorry, your phone isn't ringtone and graphics capable." Gee. Funny, you told me it was when I bought it, and look at that-the manual says it is. I love this phone but I bought it for these reasons and I am EXTREMELY perturbed. If anyone has any sites they know of that send compatible ring tones, PLEASE email me! Lord knows AT&T doesn't even know what phones they sell or what they do.

Nokia 6560 - Great phone, *almost* perfect...

Just got my 6560 recently - my 4th Nokia in 7 years. I agree with most of the reviewers here - very cool cel and a few minor nits keep me from giving it a full 5 stars:
Stuff that's great: - very nice speakerphone! sounds & transmits great! - screen quality: excellent. - size: extremely compact - yet keys not TOO small. - i'm a sucker for the silver & chrome design/finish quality. - easy Nokia interface navigation. - voice recorder (for notes/voice-dial) is pretty cool. - antennae reception seems a big improvement over my old 8260. - car/AC power charger is same size from my 8260. (thank you Nokia.)
Stuff that could be better... - earbud connector is a bit awkward. - keypad backlighting is strong near the center, weak at the edges. - no desktop stand/charger available. can this be right?? (at least i can't seem to find one!)
Anyone know how to do this ...? - no way to EASILY upload your own .JPGs which is the format for the Nokia color graphic "wallpapers." - no way to use the voice recorder sounds you create to use as a ring tone! ("HEY - SOMEONE's CALLING!") - no way to assign graphic/JPG to an incoming caller for easy identification. - ring tones are a bit GOOFY. sure, polyphonic = flashy, but there's no simple "ring ring" that i can use when i am in a meeting, other than "beep once."
other notes:
I have found a (Mac) utility to upload contacts to the phone via SMS (Google: "Nokia Contact Sender X"). Beware of SMS charges if you have them...
I wish the IR port could transmit witth my IR equipped Powerbook, and not just other IR cel phones.
A tiny camera (like SonyEricsson's T610/T616) would have been a killer feature! Roughly same size phone!
Overall - very satisfied with it!

Got mine for 25.00 as an existing AT&T customer with a 1 year agreement. So far all of the features work very well including the speakerphone and I had no problem inporting over 100 contacts from my iPaq using the infared port. Battery life seems excellent and my reception in the metro ATL area on AT&T has been great.
Only drawbacks would be: *The hands free/data interface at the bottom of the phone is difficult to engage. *After pressing a key the back light turns off to quickly for me and I can't seem to find an adjustment for this. *No PC sync software/cables available yet *Wish the back lights behind the keys were brighter for the outboard row of keys.

I love the phone. I am still looking for a place to get free polyphonic ringtones though. It is much better than my 8265. I recommend it to all.

This is my 5th Nokia Phone. My first phones were under the rental program. With each phone I have gotten a better overall phone. Each one a great imporvement over the last. They get smaller and better. I only wish that I could delete some of the preloaded screensavers and ringtones. Then I could save more of my own selected ones.
Thank you Nokia

DON't Buy a Nokia Phone!

Dispite having a IR port Nokia said "We regret the frustration you have experienced while attempting to locate the PC Suite software for your Nokia 6560 phones. We are happy to assist you with your inquiry.
PC Suite will not be available for the Nokia 6560 phone. Please check www.nokia.com/us for other enhancements available for use with this model phone. "
This is reprehensible. They go on to say ""The infrared (IR) port on your Nokia 6560 phone is used to transfer business cards to another Nokia phone that is IR equipped. A business card may consist of a name, phone number, and text entry. You can save received business cards in your phone book"
Which can only be done one entry at a time.. AHHHHHHHH.

idk wat that other guy from cali was smokin' but this is a good phone for how small it is. it weighs only 3 grams and awesome definition sounds. and i lik that u can specify tones to specific callers. it has a great color screen, who cares if they don't hav face plates yet it only matters that they will and thats the price u pay for getting a new model. and to protect ur phone, just make sure it doesn't come into contact with walls or floors at high speeds. : ) also it should come with insurence that if lost, broken, cracked or whatever else u can posibilly do to ur phone, they well replace it for free, no ?'s asked. and thats y i gave this phone a 5 out of 5

Suncom just started carrying the 6560 and so far it's doing well. Sold a pretty good number of them so far and only had a select few come back with issues. 6000 series nokia's have been awesome phones, I hope this is as well. Great size, features and battery.
