This phone has been amazing, until I dropped it in water. So it is no more. I couldn't say enough good things about it. I switch to the 1100 (also switched carriers) the entire switch was a mistake. I have already sent my 1100 back -- it was THE WORST. I only hope my new 2260 isn't a huge let down

I have 2 of these phones, one was new and the other was given to me. They are very durable(been dropped numerous times). However reception stinks big time. At first I had service every where, and as the months passed my reception continued to get worse to where I would be on the phone and it would just hang up on people because all of the sudden I had no service(even my cellualr provider said they are bad phones, and thats why Nokia stopped making them). So, it came to the point that I just needed a new phone. So, I switched to a Nokia 3560. And to be honest, the 3560 is much, much better.

Great Little Phone

I had used my Nokia 8260 for a couple of years before changing wireless carrierers. To be honest I wish that I could have used it with my current cell phone carrier. Unfortunately the hardware is not compatible. :-( (By the way the phone will last more than 3 years. As long as your little ones don't through it around.)

I know of five separate people (including myself) who have owned the 8260 and we all have had to replace it between two and three years after buyng it because of internal parts breaking down. It's a good phone, good reception, excellent size, decent features, but I can guarantee you that it won't last more than three years.

I've had this phone for about 2 years now (well I've used it for a couple months coz my Bro passed it on to me -_-) But everything still works fine and I really like size of it although I wished it was colored screen, had more function and that we could switch covers easily.

Best phone I ever had. Excually went from the new generation phones back to my old 8260 phone because i missed it! Sorry I just like the simple little phone that goes in my pocket and it does the same job as the color phones!

I have had this phone for over 2 years now and even though I drop it almost everyday I still keet excellent recpetion. I have had a Samsung and I hated it. Then I got one of the older Nokia phones and it was just to big for me so I bought the 8260 and it works just for me.

After working in the field of tele communications and getting the chance to use many different phones, the 8260 has been the best.

Ive had this phone for about a year now and Ive personally never had a problem with reception like some of the other reviews say. Its always been a great phone for me and I recommend it to everyone, its a shame they don't make it anymore. I've dropped it plenty of times and it still works fine, the people that say its fragile dont know what they are talking about. the reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it doesn't have features like internet access.

I've had this phone for almost 2 and half years, and it still works great! I've dropped it plenty of times, but it still gets good reception. I think this phone is perfect for me! I get so many complements on it, people tell me all the time that it's the cutest phone they've ever seen! And I totally have to agree!
