This phone is alright but i wouldn't recomend it for people who have intentions of using it a lot. When you are outdoors, you can not always hear the ring.It is not loud like nokia 3360.Secondly the reception is poor. The possitive thing about this nokia 8390 is that it is small and it fits practically anywhere.

I have owned a lot of Nokias and by far this one is the worst. Many dropped calls, poor reception, oh and to get signal you have to power it down and back up. I would rather use this phone as a toilet brush. UGH!

I go this phone three weeks ago, i have owend some five nokia cellphones and i have no complaints other than I have no reception at my own house, and the phone should come with a infared port that you plug into your own computer. GO TO EBAY.COM TO BUY ACCESSORIES, i saved like 100 dollars doing this so i really recomend going there.
Great phone, no complaints except no reception at my own house but it has nothing to do with the phone!!!!!!!!!

I bought this phone for its size and features. It was the coolest thing on the market at the time because it was so small and could do so much. However after only 6 months I got rid of it because I was having a lot of problems with AT&T's GSM system. It drops a ton of calls no matter what coast you're on (my bill from June had 43 dropped call credits). Also, I found out that my phone was incompatible with AT&T's text messaging service causing it to jam the text service to my phone for days. If I downloaded ringtones the phone wouldn't accept them for some reason. Every once in a while the phone would lock up and I had to pop the battery out to reset it. I liked the phone but it has some quirks that need to be worked out. Prepared to be aggravated if you purchase this phone. I now have a Nokia 6200 at AT&T's expense and am much happier with it :) It is a little larger but does so much more.

it's great phone with small chipset. I got both-a fully featured phone with sleek, stylish good looks. i have one advice for nokia 8390 users that stop visiting sites to find a free logos or ringtones, you only needs a one laptop to make your ringtones and logos(information at nokia.com) and for free text messages use ezmsg.com

Right after the Nokia 8390 came out, I just had to have it. The convenience of the size and the adorable design attracted me. This phone is capable of doing awesome things anywhere from recording conversations to conference calling. This is the ideal phone.

I recently had a Nextel i50sx which was big, boring, and overall horrible. I just got a 8390 for christmas and it was AMAZING to hold. I always think I lose it and its annoying but its soo kool because you cant even see that i am holding it it hides in your palm ! It has a white backlight which can light up the whole room and makes the keys easy to see. This is a great phone ! Must get !

People always seem interested in this phone, the screen looks really sweet and I've had everyone checking it out, even people with the $300 motorola's (I paid only $99). Also I do get good service on the new AT&T GSM network here in Southern California. It gets better reception and voice quality is improved over 3360 (my old TDMA model). Much recommended, but I'm having trouble getting new ringtones & graphics. I'm sure I will figure this out soon enough, but SMS download doesn't seem to work the same as the 3360.

The 8390 is a great phone; it's good looking, functional, and extremely portable. The only problem I have with it is that, living in a small town, I don't get reception at my own house! That's really disappointing. But on a current trip to San Francisco, I had reception in place that my parents' phones did not. That was nice!
