The samsung SCH a-570 is a perfect phone for anyone who 1. has troubble seeing their either no color or small button/text phone 2. Likes downloadables like ringtones and wallpapers or 3. needs a good reception phone at an affordable cost.

I replaced my old LG TM520 3 days ago with the A570 Samsung and there is a lot to be desired in the Samsung. The signal reception sitting side by side with the still active LG fluctuates from 2-3 bars signal strength compared to a solid 5 on the LG resultingingly not allowing me make or receive many calls due to low signal strength-the phone is dual mode-not tri-mode as most dealers advise negating any calls in or out in analogue areas. Bought the phone to talk on not play with the gadgets--Called the carrier to complain- told to return it and get a Motorola-superior quality- Lucky for the 30 day return policy-Phone is going back tomorrow.

The Samsung SCH-a570 is a Verizon (CDMA) phone which is availiable though Radio Shack for $20 with a 2-year contract.
Its major features are:
- Color main display (very sharp and colorful)
- external (B/W) display (large)
- Blue glow of keys- large easy to use keys
- PIM software for ToDos, scheduling, and other tasks.
- Long battery time (3.3 hours talk and 7days of standby)
If upgrading from an old phone this is an inexpensive (but lacks a camera) phone. very good voice quality and good reception.

I recommend this phone for a cheap, good buy that will last the 2 years (maybe more) with no complaints (besides the lack of camera)
