Pros and Cons

Pros: Small, cute, very colorful display, charges very fast, very loud alerts and ringtones; a very girly phone.
Cons: No outside window - you have to flip it open to check time/callers; colorful display hard to see outside on a bright day; default ringtones are pretty lame; I've had the phone for almost 4 months and I'm already having to return it for technical problems. Its slowed waaaay down and now turns off whenever it wants to. I've never dropped it and has no liquid damage. Maybe I got a bad one, so we'll see how the new one is.

this phone sucks, the ringtones are terrible and the text messaging is confusing.. un like my friends nokia 3200 he paid less than i did and he got a better phone. samsung should stick to making crappy tv's and camera's.

I thought that I would never get another brand of phone than a Nokia, but I actually like this one. The songs could be better though.

GOOD: Looks sleek, the display is pretty, it's easy to use, has an alarm, the addressbook allows for multiple numbers per person.
BAD: Everyone else says I sound squeeky, and I have static problems I never had on TDMA phones. Listening to my recording to do my voicemail I could hear how bad I sound. The phone was ok for me, but all of my friends complained.

After purchasing a A56 from Cingular, I took it back and purchased the Samsung SGH-x427. Not only am I happy with the phone, but I am surprised at all the great features. It has an alarm clock, as well as an organizer. I am happy with the ringtone quality and the ease of downloads. I am glad with my choice of phones and the quality.

I would have given this phone a 5, it sounds great but the ringtones dont! They absolutely suck! Happy Birthday doesn't sound like a happy birthday, its more of a sad one!
