I used to use a Nokia 5190, and it worked great for about 6 years straight. I thought I would finally get a new colour screen phone. It seemed great, lighter, longer battery, and vibrating ring. After a couple of months, the phone would never receive any calls, and if I tried to make a call, it just start beeping, with NO error message as to why the call was never made. So I had it replaced...2 months later the same problem...so I had that one replaced...2 months later...same problem. The first and second times, they tried to tell me that maybe it was just a firmware problem, and maybe my phone just needed the firmware updated. What the f-ck? In 3 phones?? What is this, the firmware du jour? It wasn't just the limited lifespan, the fact that the phone ALWAYS showed the call times, drove me NUTS. The one and only good thing was that the unit would infrared-sync with my Palm PDA.

this fone is shyte i bought it off ebay 4 23.00 and i thought it was a deal and i hate it so bad. it has like on reception key all the time and shuts off when im in the middle uv a call :9

I have this phone since 6 months ago and it has been down twice. I got a replace phone from my carrier, but the phone is still so weak especailly reception. My friend could get angry with my weak voice thoug i am yelling to her. The price is cheap, but the quality is cheap too. When i went to their technical department, tried to get it fix, and i saw many people came back to get their Sony Ericsson T 300 for a doctor too. If you see my review, you will be silly if you still buy Sony Ericsson T300. My boss has T68, still frustrates him.

Sound & Reception Terrible on the T306

I have had two Sony Ericcson phones and were happy with both of them. Because of this, I purchased two T306's. My T306 is worthless as the sound quality and reception are so bad. When I am actually able to make or receive a telephone call, neither of us can hear eachother. Usually, outgoing calls don't make it out (I am met with a "beep beep beep") and ingoing calls go straight to voicemail even though my phone is on. About 50-75% of the time, my calls are simply cut off in the middle of a conversation. I have to go from spot to spot, just like in that commercial, saying "Can you hear me now?". Has anyone else had this problem, and what can I do about it?!

drop calls are just as bad as tmobile. color screen nice.. size okay but case for it has got too go..too much work to get vcml mess from another phone...too much to memorize

I bought this phone a few days ago (20 April 2003). I used the Sony Ericsson website to test the phone online before I bought so I knew what I was in for. This phone is really awesome. Speedy T9 Predictive Text Input makes messaging a breeze. Beautiful MMS messages impress my friends. The games, Alien Scum (like Space Invaders), Black Deal (Blackjack) and Minigolf are very cool and have kept me busy from everywhere from teatime to toilettime (!) The reception is average, I have never lost a signal and the speaker is clear and loud (and adjustable). The battery has lasted 2 days and is at a 3rd of full so far, not bad since I haven't been able to put it down! Another cool feature is the themes, which give the phone an almost "Windows Plus" sort of feel. The polyphonic ringtones are a little soft (which of these new ringtones aren't) but sound clear. The phone also boasts a voice recorder where you or your girlfriend/boyfriend can leave you a nice loving msg. ;) What else can I say? For a ridiculously low price you can have a color screen (albeit 256 color, the pics aren't bad), MMS, GPRS, WAP, Polyphonic Ringtones and cool games. What's more, you can download more games, themes and ringtones straight from Ericsson! GET IT NOW!!!

I picked up this phone for 30 bucks, and it is a really good phone considering the price. I mean, sure its not as good as some of the higher end phones like the nokia 7210 or 3650, but those phones also have a higher end price. Color screen, optional camera, polyphonic ringtones, and pretty good reception. Nice phone:)

Could use more appointments. Hard to hear, and only faintly picks up voice communication. Color screen is nice and buttons are clearly marked.
